Providing low income housing for elderly individuals over the age of 62 and disabled adults over 18 years of age.
Catholic Charities assists low and extremely low income individuals according to the median income of Tarrant County 2007 income limits which are available at www.HUD.gov. Many of those we serve were on the verge of homelessness.
The Independent living facilities offer the individual an opportunity to live in an apartment setting that feels more like a community rather than just a unit. Each site provides a clean, affordable and safe environment for the resident. On site coin-operated laundry facilities are available. Socialization in the community room utilized by residents for gatherings, and activities sponsored by an active Resident Association. The apartments are furnished with stove, refrigerator and individual controlled A/C/heating units.
Referral services are available to assist the tenant in reaching other vital programs that may be beneficial to their personal needs.
After hours and weekend emergency maintenance is available for plumbing and A/C/heating problems as well as after hours security personnel.
