Infant Mortality Task Force (IMTF)
The Tarrant County Infant Mortality Task Force began in 2002 to address the issues surrounding infant mortality rates. These rates are higher in pockets of Tarrant County than in some third world countries. Catholic Charities coordinates the efforts of this task force to improve pregnancy outcomes and reduce infant mortality through community collaboration. We strive to meet the Healthy People 2010 objective for infant mortality of no more than 4.5 infant deaths/1000 live births.
