Infant Mortality Task Force (IMTF)
The Tarrant County Infant Mortality Task Force began in 2002 to address the issues surrounding infant mortality rates. These rates are higher in pockets of Tarrant County than in some third world countries.
Catholic Charities coordinates the efforts of this task force to improve pregnancy outcomes and reduce infant mortality through community collaboration. We strive to meet the Healthy People 2010 objective for infant mortality of no more than 4.5 infant deaths/1000 live births.
Compassion Resource Network (CRN)-formerly EATC
CRN is a program that strives to enhance the effectiveness of organizations, churches, businesses and coalitions to deliver services to those in need through collaboration and capacity building. This is done through a) the facilitation of information and resource sharing opportunities, b) building the capacity of churches and organizations through training opportunities and c) through collaborative partnership projects. This program was founded in 1980 as a response to a United Way task force recommendation for promoting collaboration between churches and agencies offering assistance to those in need.
Financial Assistance

Financial Literacy
The primary goal of financial education is to increase household financial stability by empowering clients to manage their money effectively. In 2007, 32% of clients returned to Catholic Charities for financial assistance. Our financial education initiative grew out of the desire to contribute to permanent solutions to household poverty. Financial education classes provide participants with the tools they need to decide how to use their money to meet their family's needs and goals.
