REFUGEE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
The goal of Refugee Employment Services (RES) is to prepare clients to join the workforce. The service philosophy of RES is to work with all eligible clients at their level of employability to empower them toward employment-based economic self-sufficiency. Our team equips clients with knowledge of American work culture and links them with available jobs. Refugee Employment Services works closely with employers to identify and meet company staffing needs and to develop job opportunities for refugees, asylees, Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs), victims of trafficking and Cuban parolees, who possess specialized skills, experiences, and work histories.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be looking for an entry-level position, a job upgrade or assistance with career planning.
- Must have documentation proving refugee, asylee or victim of trafficking status.
- Must be 5 years or less from the date of arrival.
- Must be at least 16 years old and not be a full-time student.
Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA)
Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) is the Employment Based Cash Assistance program that works in conjunction with the Refugee Employment Services.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must have documentation proving refugee or asylee status.
- Must be within their first 8 months in the United States.
- Must meet the income requirement set forth in the program guidelines.
- Must comply with Employment program guidelines.
